The Visual Computing Group – Bonn Rhein Sieg University of Applied Sciences – Site is now online. The new founded Visual Computing Group emerged from the two working groups Computer Vision and Computer Graphics.
In this new Group we want to establish a platform for public talks to discuss new technologies and publications.

Here you can find a video of some demonstrations we did for the TraCell project. The video shows interactive ray tracing on the Cell Broadband Engine on a PS3 cluster, including dynamic scenes.
The new BladeCenterH and two QS22 Cell blades are now running the TraCell Ray Tracer.

Ten Playstation 3 and a large TFT panel arrived and are waiting to be set up as a teraFLOPS cluster for the TraCell project.

The TraCell project has started. The goal is to use the CELL BE to realize interactive (global) illumination in the context of eye surgery and design review.
