Intermediate results of the EXAR project were demonstrated during the “Tag der Technik” in Düsseldorf on 17th and 18th June.
The setup involved a 3D TV, optical marker tracking, two real magnets and a PC. The users could watch the superposition of the two fields from magnets which they held in their hands.

On 20th January, Prof. Rüdiger Westermann of TU Munich will give a talk on “Visual Computing in der Medizin”.

The students of “Praktikum Medieninformatik” showed their games to the public today. Ten games could be played in C016. For an overview of the games, click here (some with downloads).
Today, the best games produced by high-school students were awarded. Five teams have produced games ranging from guitar hero clones to zombie shooting action.

AAA and back – Lessons from the Game Industry
Alexander Lechner, head of software development at Vertigo Systems GmbH, has worked for two years on Crytek’s renowned CryEngine2.
In his talk he’s going to share his personal experience and knowledge about the Game Industry, covering various topics such as proper tools usage, development process, engine structuring and requirements on students wanting to join the game business.

During “Studieninformationstag” (29.04.08) we will show demonstrations in the CGLab (room C013.1).
Demos will start at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 15:00.
From 9:30 to 10:30 and 11:00 to 12:00 we will present the basics of computer game development during this year’s GirlsDay (room C177).
